As its my first iaito, i can just say - its nice and shiny. And, i like it's made from steel. And more expierienced colegues said its well balanced. So - its good in money/performance value.

This is my first Iaito and it is perfect, its weight is heavy enough to build up your muscles enough over time so that when you use a shinken you'll be able to handle it, the blade is thin so it looks good and the hamon is prominent and displays a good notare appearance. The tachikaze you receive from the cut is very audible and sounds good and the general appearance of the blade is good. The blade is very solid and has good balance and even though i have been using it for a good few months now, the tightness of the saya has not loosened much at all. I recommend this to anyone who wants a beginner Iaito.

My second Kurin Iaito arrived today (Not that I have broken the other one) but thought I would treat myself for Christmas - like you do! Anyways I have found the sword to be perfectly balanced and not as heavy as my last one even though it is a 2.6 shaku. The Bo-hi also makes a fantastic swoosh when making correct cuts so really good for audible feedback on downward cuts. Would highly recommend - especially if you want anything over a 2.45 Shaku blade length, as I can't find anyone else with the same range and quality as Nine Circles.

I've been buying these the Kurin practice swords' for a little while now and after using other manufactured swords I say quite honestly for what the cost of these Nine C's models are, you can't go wrong. The build quality is very good and is very good value in my opinion, plus the staff are very helpful on the phone and are very honest if they can't help you, which is rare now days. I've also purchased many other of Nine C's products and the quality of product remains high. Great products and first class service from a good company

Same as the above regarding the Maki Ito.The blade is flawless and balanced.I was expecting less to be perfectly honest ,but i was surprised by the quality of the items.Very good packaging as well.Although the box was wet (blame local courier service provider) not a single drop reached the wrapped items. It was the second time i trusted NineCircles for my shopping and i dont regret it.personaly suggest the Kurin Stainless steel for beginers and/or more advanced for the daily practice.

These Iaitos are worth every £. The Maki ito is just perfectly wrapped. Very strong and there is no moving of the Maki Ito at all. The balance is great. You can see that they put their effort into making a good "work-sword". No fancy stuff. We have many Iaidokas in our Dojo who are using Kurin Iaitos and they all are satisfied.

Since I'm a beginner on Iaido I can not comment on the quality of the Iaito because this is my first one. I can however say that my sensei has acknowledged my Iaito as being good and that I should buy a worthy sageo for it because it deserves better. As for me, I am pretty happy with it. I like how my Iaito is balanced and how everything is well made. It is a really beautiful Iaito and the hamon is very nice.

I think the blade is very good in balance and handling, it's weight is noticeable, but not awkward. The blade and it's curve are beautiful, and the assembly feels very good. The Iaito isn't overly fancy, the saya, tsuba, menuki and tsuka-gashira aren't overly ornate, but seem very functional, and that is what counts in my opinion. All-over I think the price-quality ratio is in balance as well making these swords very good value for money.
