Thought to date back to the Nara period (AD 710 to 794), Furoshiki are a highly traditional way to wrap and carry clothing and other small items. Formed from a hemmed square of fabric perfectly sized to bundle a full set of clothing and accessories, Furoshiki can be tied in myriad ways, an art-form in its own right.
Traditional Koi pattern – this pattern represents the legendary Koi which managed to swim up to the top of the waterfall, and was transformed into a golden dragon at its peak. This motif has long been a symbol of the transformation possible through Budo practice and personal endeavour, relentlessly forging ones character to achieve drive a personal evolution.
Large Size – at 100x100cm, this wrap can easily accommodate a range of volumes, tying more tightly for smaller items and less compactly for bigger bundles.
