The Nosyudo Tokujo Iaito represent the finest quality Japanese Iaito available on the market today. Each sword is hand crafted in Seki, Japan to the highest standards of traditional sword production.
Deeply rooted in Taoist mythology and featuring heavily in Japanese folklore, the tiger is seen as a symbol of power, protection and longevity. Often seen in the classic bamboo grove design, the tiger (Tora) was never indigenous to the Japanese archipelago and early carvings of Tigers in Japan looked a lot like domestic cats, carved by artists who had heard of tigers but never seen one!
Our Tora (tiger) model combines a solid style tiger in bamboo design for Tsuba and Ishime (stone finish) Higo hilt fittings with a top quality Keiryo lightweight Toshin (blade) for the serious Iaido practitioner.
We also offer a custom made option for Nosyudo Iaito available here.
