Kurin Chuden Shinken

Just arrived at my hands last week with an extraordinary quality of service from the Nine Circles company in the United Kingdom
It is a Shinken with all the technical characteristics of a hard aluminum Iai-To, but in steel and with a real edge like a razor blade. Its balance and all the elements of the koshirae of Japanese origin, make it perfect for the practice of Iaido, but with a live leaf, which requires that the practitioner not only knows the technique, but has sufficient level to lend the Mindfulness needed with a real weapon.
The weapon, I arrive at the scheduled time, revised and adjusted to the saya (sheath) and meets all expectations in terms of balance, weight and koshirae. In addition, the company served me a second exchange saya. The quality of service and information by Martyn unbeatable.
Its price is adequate not reaching the extremes of a completely handmade weapon and exorbitant prices.
I'm sure I will enjoy my work in Iaido (ZNKR) and Toyama-Ryu Batto-Jutsu with a quality weapon.

I have been using the Kurin Chuden Shinken for about three months now. I went by to hold it in my hands and feel the balance for myself. I was welcomed warmly and shown a number of options including this one. I fell in love with it right there, ordered it, had it sent to the Netherlands and it hasn’t disappointed since. Nice sound, well balanced and good craftsmanship. Razor sharp too. Thanks guys!

Kurin Chuden Shinken
I received my order from Nine Circles just in time for Wednesday evening Iaido keiko. The sword itself is awesome, very pretty to look at and extremely well balanced. The tsuka fits perfectly in my hand, which together with the balance almost makes it feel like the sword does all the cutting itself. Very nice fittings, very nice saya with a tight fit, yet easy draw and noto. In short, I am very happy and etremely pleased with my new sword, and will gladly shop Nine Circles again.

Chuden Shinken (clearance item)
I just received my order from Nine Circles and I'm very pleased. This katana was a clearance item bc of a flaw in the polish alone the entire bo-hi that is really only noticeable when examining it in the light. I get the impression that this is not a common defect. The rest of the sword, however, is outstanding. The fittings are nice and tight. No wiggle room in the saya, yet very easy to draw. The blade itself feels light as a feather and is razor sharp. Since I am a tall guy, I was concerned that the tsuka would be too short or too slim but fits my palm perfectly. I certainly appreciate the generous discount Nine Circles provided for the cosmetic flaw and would highly recommend this model to any practitioner of iaido. I look forward to doing business w Nine Circles in the future! (bows)
