Six Section Suburi Shinai
This classic Suburi Shinai is built from six staves of high quality Také, held together with specially made jumbo sized Nakayui, Tsukagawa and Sakigawa.
The thicker grip encourages improvement in relaxed grip strength and the added weight of the Shinai helps to improve speed and strength with regular Suburi practice.
Every Shinai will vary slightly in weight due to the use of natural materials and because every Shinai is hand finished and assembled.

For Shinai for juniors under 12 years, the size is determined by Kendoka size. Measure from the floor to the peak of the armpit crease and match that size as closely to a Shinai size as possible.
