What's Included in this pack?
Miyabi Iaigi Shitagi Set - Our classic cut Iaidogi and Shitagi set features an easy care, hard wearing Tetron outer Gi with a soft, comfortable, 100% cotton undershirt. Crisp and clean, this set is tough enough for everyday practice and stylish enough for gradings and events, a perfect first Gi set which last years of training.
Miyabi Hakama - Forming a perfect match with the Iaido Gi, this is and easy care, Tetron Hakama specially selected for ease of folding and cleaning. A favourite of the Nine Circles range for more than 15 years!
Tetron Obi - This elasticated Obi is a very comfortable traditional style Obi which wraps around the body two to three times, creating the desired layered structure to better secure your Hakama. These Obi are 8cm in width and 400cm in length.
White Oak Grooved Daito - The ideal starting point for new Iaidoka, the perfect way to begin learning to cut and manipulate the sword before investing in your first Iaito. Includes Tsuba and Tsuba Dome.
Plastic Saya - A tough plastic scabbard which accommodates the grooved Daito. This element enables novice Iaidoka to practice the basic movements of the Kata with the Bokken before moving onto a metal training weapon.
Cotton Sageo - Simple cotton Sageo cord to fasten the Saya to the Obi, this standard length Sageo facilitates the development of tying dexterity and the correct Sageo management during Reiho.
Deluxe Knee Pads - An absolute essential for all new Iaido practitioners, these knee pads have been specially designed and engineered for Iaido, combining differentially layered padding in the ergonomically shaped knee cups, with lightweight, breathable fasteners bring the best balance of comfort and protection into a single package.

Cross reference your height and weight to see our sizing recomendation. If you are on the edge of a size bracket we typcially advise choosing the smaller of the two size options.

If you are between Hakama sizes we would typically advise you to round down to the smaller size to minimise any tripping hazard.
If you have larger than average thigh or calf musculature we advise selecting a size larger than your knee measurement suggests.
General Care
After training, remove damp clothing and equipment from the bag and allow everything to dry thoroughly before storage. Regular cleaning and inspection will help maintain the condition and performance of your Iaido equipment.
Miyabi Tetron Iaidogi and Hakama
-Follow the care instructions provided with the garments.
-Wash regularly to remove sweat and maintain freshness.
-Hand wash at 30°C.
-Use a mild detergent.
-Allow it to air dry after washing.
-Do not store the garments while damp.
Miyabi Cotton Shitagi
-Follow the garment care instructions provided.
-Hand wash at 30°C.
-Use a mild detergent.
-Allow it to air dry after washing.
-Avoid excessive high heat to help minimise shrinkage.
Tetron Obi
-Wash regularly to remove sweat and maintain freshness.
-Hand wash at 30°C.
-Use a mild detergent.
-Allow it to air dry after washing.
-Roll or fold neatly to help maintain its shape.
White Oak Grooved Daito
-Wipe the wooden sword with a soft, dry cloth after use.
-Inspect regularly for cracks, splinters, or other signs of damage.
-Store in a dry environment away from excessive moisture.
-Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
-Do not use the Daito if it becomes cracked or structurally damaged.
Plastic Saya
-Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth when necessary.
-Dry thoroughly before storage.
-Avoid excessive heat or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
-Inspect regularly for cracks or damage.
-Do not force the Daito into the Saya if there is resistance or an obstruction.
Cotton Sageo
-Wash by hand only when necessary to eliminate accumulated sweat.
-Allow to air dry naturally.
-Ensure the Sageo is completely dry before tying it around the Saya or storing it.
Deluxe Iaido Knee Pads
-Air the knee pads after every training session.
-Allow them to dry completely if they become damp with sweat.
-Follow any specific washing instructions supplied with the product.
-Wipe or gently clean the surface as required.
-Avoid excessive heat or harsh cleaning chemicals.
Cotton Lining
-Remove equipment from the bag after training to allow it to air.
-Avoid storing damp equipment inside for extended periods.
-Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth when necessary.
-Allow the bag to dry completely if it becomes wet.
Always ensure that your equipment are clean and dry before long-term storage. Keeping damp equipment inside a closed bag can lead to unpleasant odours, moisture build-up, and unnecessary wear.
