What's Included in this pack?
Tengu Kendogi - This Kendogi model is made from 100% cotton single-layer Sashiko Ori fabric. The dark blue fabric is non-aizome dyed, helping the colour remain fixed while making the Kendogi easier to care for than the traditional indigo-dyed alternatives. Lightweight and practical, it is an ideal choice for beginners and regular Kendo training.
Tengu Hakama - This model is made from an easy-care polyester-rayon blend. Specially selected for ease of folding and cleaning, it provides a practical option for new Kendoka who want a smart, traditional appearance but without the additional maintenance associated with more demanding fabrics. Finished in dark blue non-aizome dyed fabric, the Tengu Hakama is designed to be simple to care for and suitable for regular training.

For Shinai for juniors under 12 years, the size is determined by Kendoka size. Measure from the floor to the peak of the armpit crease and match that size as closely to a Shinai size as possible.

General Care
Proper care and maintenance will help keep your Kendo equipment clean, functional, and ready for regular training. Always allow equipment to dry thoroughly after use before storing it.
Tengu Kendogi
-Hand wash at 30°C.
-Use a mild detergent.
-Allow it to air dry after washing.
-Avoid excessive high heat to help minimise shrinkage.
Tengu Hakama
-Follow the garment care instructions provided.
-Handwash according to the care label where appropriate.
-Use a mild detergent.
-Carefully fold the Hakama after washing and drying to help maintain the pleats.
-Air dry after washing.
-Avoid excessive heat.
Tendo Shinai
-Inspect the Shinai before and after every training session for cracks, splinters, or damage.
-Remove and carefully sand any small splinters when appropriate.
-Do not use a Shinai that is cracked or structurally damaged.
-Keep the Shinai dry and store it away from excessive heat or humidity.
-Avoid leaving the Shinai in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for extended periods.
-Regularly check the Tsuru, Nakayui, Sakigawa, Tsuba, and Tsuba Dome for wear or damage.
-Replace damaged parts when necessary.

Brown Stained Oak Daito
-Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth after use.
-Check regularly for cracks, splinters, or other signs of damage.
-Store in a dry location away from excessive moisture.
-Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
Tetron Shinai Bag
-Empty the bag regularly and allow it to air after training.
-Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth when required.
-Avoid storing wet or damp equipment inside the bag for extended periods.
Tenugui
-Wash regularly to remove sweat and maintain freshness.
-Hand wash or machine wash in cool or lukewarm water.
-Use a mild detergent.
-Air dry naturally.
-Ensure the Tenugui is completely dry before storing it with other Kendo equipment.
Bogu Set
-After training, remove the Bogu from the bag and allow it to air dry completely.
-Never store damp Bogu inside a closed Bogu bag for extended periods.
-Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, or damp environments.
-Regularly inspect the armour for signs of excessive wear or damage.
-Store the Bogu in a dry, well-ventilated location when not in use.
Bogu absorbs sweat and moisture during training. For this reason, it is important to remove it from the bag after training and allow them to dry thoroughly before storage.
