A very popular, fast drying Gi, perfect for seminars and hot weather practice this 100% cotton outerwear offers both great performance and value.

 

From Miyabi, the waffle texture 'summer weave' fabric minimises fabric surface area in contact with the skin, and allows the free movement of air, encouraging evaporation of sweat to allow the body to cool itself.

 

Normally worn without a Shitagi, the fabric is more delicate than traditional Iaigi due to the open weave.  Cotton Gi should be washed gently by hand or on a delicate cool machine wash to prevent shrinkage and maximise longevity of original colour and finish.

These are a really nice item and seem to fit me better than keikogi bought from Japan because they’re a little wider in the shoulder and from underarm to underarm allowing for a more flattering fit and easier overhead arm movements. The material has a fine check weave pattern to it which could be seen as ‘non-traditional’ but from grading distance, it would not be noticeable. I had nafuda embroidery on my order and I have to say it’s the best embroidery out there: no silly squashing of kanji characters as one gets from Japanese providers. It really sets the keikogi off beautifully. Highly recommended

Embroidered Iaido gi
Great jacket. I ordered this on a Sunday evening, opting to have a zekken embroidered directly on the GI. Our dojo zekken is on file with Nine Circles, nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised to receive the jacket the following Wednesday. Superfast service. Perfect!
