Deluxe Gokujo Jirushi #11000 Bushu Aizome (indigo) dyed Hakama.

 

The Gokujo Jirushi model from Miyabi utilises the finest Bushu Aizome dyed thread, traditionally prepared and coloured by artisan dyers prior to weaving.

 

The ultimate in quality, the high thread count of #11000 indicates a greater density of fine quality threads, maximising the appearance and consistency of the finished fabric and resulting in the outstanding material texture and Hakama performance.  This classic cut model also features partially stitched in pleats to better retain the internal lines of the folds and ensure the Hakama looks at its best in heavy use.

 

One of the finest traditional Kendo Hakama on the market today, this exceptional model will last a lifetime of practice with proper care.

 

This product is dyed with Aizome, the traditional indigo dye used widely in Japanese culture and favoured for its antibacterial qualities which help prevent deterioration of the fabric in humid conditions.  Aizome is not a fully fixed dye.  This garment requires gentle hand washing and you should expect blue dye to rub off during contact through general use.

Great!
Fast delivery, and a great product. If feels very comfortable, very strong but very light to wear. And the "flush" sound is perfect! I thought I would have more trouble to fold it, but the inner stitch behind the plates make it very easy to handle. I have only used it once, but for now it is a five stars purchase.

Wow, This hakama is awesome: its the perfect hakama i wished for. Quality and softness O_o. The stiches in the pleats are usefull: i wish its featured in all my hakama's. The color is also cool, it's not a shiny light blue hakama like the basic hakama. If you kick with it it makes a poff sound, which makes you look more professional .

A good product
This is my second hakama I have. I bought it at Nine Circles stand in Novara, Italy during WKC-2012 and after five months I am appreciating it so much. Although at first I had not noticed, the fabric is excellent, breathable but strong. In addition, the stitching along the inner folds make it very easy to fold.
